Canon Inc. is a Japanese multinational corporation specialized in the manufacture of cameras, camcorders, photocopiers, steppers, computer printers and medical equipment. Canon headquarters are located in Ōta, Tokyo, Japan.
The name Canon comes from Buddhism, of Buddhist bodhisattva Guan Yin, in Japanese, previously transliterated Kuanyin, Kwannon, or Kwanon in English.
