We generated specific content for a specific audience: Flamengo football club’s fan-base, which is the largest in the world with over 33 million fans, and football fans in general. The content was both pertinent and useful to the target audience, bringing together environmental conservation and football. The campaign’s target audiences were football fans and sports commentators. The product was a new game-jersey for Flamengo, the team with the largest fan-base in the world. Adidas is one of Brazil’s most popular sporting goods brands. Adidas was able to mobilise the world’s largest fan-base in support of a noble cause: Environmental conservation. The jersey achieved some of the highest sales of all team jerseys sold by Adidas for that year.
